INSIDE THE REBELS TAKE

In our opinion, this is the most loaded Ole Miss football team in more than 60 years.  One would have to go back to that era to find a Rebel squad to compare against the national landscape and deduce this team…top to bottom…has some of the best talent in the country. Yes, the defense has been totally re-tooled and promises to be much better. Defensive coordinator Pete Golding also welcomes the accomplished Bryan Brown to the staff, as well as former Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett (analyst) to go along with ace recruiters Randall Joyner and Wes Neighbors.

But the offense is as promising with perhaps the best group of wide receivers and tight ends in the SEC, as well as a regrouped offensive line that now features two transfers from Washington’s Joe Moore Award-winning unit from last season. Quarterback Jaxson Dart is a legitimate preseason Heisman candidate and the recent additions of transfer running back Rashad Amos and junior college wide receiver Deion Smith only make the Rebels that more legit.

Do we agree with 9.5 wins for the Rebels. Right now, we do not. We would set the over/under on Rebels wins this fall at 10.5. You can take the under…if you want.
