DALLAS — Ole Miss senior wide receiver Tre Harris met with the media at SEC Media Days in Dallas on Monday to talk about the upcoming season.
The Rebels enter 2024 after finishing with an 11-2 record in 2023 that culminated with a 38-25 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl victory over Penn State. Ole Miss brings back a lot of players from that team.Last season, Harris pulled in 54 receptions in 12 games for 985 yards for eight touchdowns.
It’s incredible to be in coach (Lane) Kiffin’s offense every day just finding ways to get his play makers the ball,” Harris said. “To have that type of offense is huge being able to show case our abilities.”
Going into the season, there are a lot of expectations for the Rebels with the College Football Playoff expanding to 12 teams.
“The vibe feels great,” Harris said.
This season, the wide receiver room at Ole Miss has a lot of depth to put on the field.
“It’s incredible to have that many guys in your room,” Harris said. “It’s good to have that many guys to come in and support you and have that many reps.”
On October 26, Ole Miss will play host to Oklahoma, one of the newest members of the conference.
“(The fans can expect) a great time and a high-intensity football game,” Harris said. “I am excited to have them in the conference and to play them.”Harris and his teammates open the 2024 season on August 31 against Furman. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN
