CHICAGO — Jazz Chisholm Jr. is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday after injuring his left elbow on a slide into home plate during the Yankees’ 12-2 loss to the White Sox on Monday evening at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Chisholm scored from second base on Anthony Volpe’s infield single in the fifth inning. Television replays showed Chisholm rotating his left arm and shoulder between innings in the dugout. X-rays came back clean, according to manager Aaron Boone.
“I’m not super concerned about it,” Chisholm said. “We went through all the tests, and all the tests that we’ve done in here have been pretty positive. I still feel it a little bit, it’s still kind of sore, but I think that we’re going to be good.”
