Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are all reportedly scouting Marseille forward Mason Greenwood with future transfer windows in mind.
The 22-year-old severed ties with Manchester United in the summer of 2024 when completing a £27 million ($36m) move to France. He has made a stunning start to life in Ligue 1, with five goals recorded through four appearances.
Only Manchester City striker Erling Haaland can claim to have bettered that output across European football’s top five divisions. Greenwood also impressed in 2023-24 during a loan spell at Getafe that saw him named the Spanish side’s Player of the Year.
Barca and Atletico were linked with the one-cap England international during that campaign, but opted against making formal approaches. According to talkSPORT, interest from Catalunya and Madrid remains, with German heavyweights Bayern also joining Greenwood’s list of suitors.
Any deal for Greenwood would see United benefit financially, as the Red Devils included a sizeable sell-on clause in the deal that took their academy graduate to Stade Velodrome. He will be back in action on Sunday when unbeaten Marseille take in a trip to Lyon.
