The matchup of the University of Arkansas offense against the Auburn defense on Saturday will be one of exceeding familiarity on both sides of the ball.
Arkansas offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino and Auburn defensive coordinator DJ Durkin were on the same staff in the same capacities at Texas A&M last year for Coach Jimbo Fisher.
Thus, Durkin has a strong knowledge of Petrino’s tendencies and the same holds true the other way
We’ve certainly have talked about that,” Arkansas Coach Sam Pittman said. “Bobby’s got so much offense that some of the things that we’re doing … he wasn’t necessarily able to do at A&M, whether it be personnel driven or whatever the reason.
“There’s similar things that we’re doing that Coach (Durkin) would know about and then there are things that are certainly different for us.
