Bravo; Ole Miss WR Tre Harris enters SEC play as nation’s highest-graded pass catcher..

Senior Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harrisis making the case as to being college football’s top pass catcher. Four games into his super senior season, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound receiver has hauled in 38 receptions for 628 receiving yards (16.5 YPC) to go along with four touchdowns.

As the numbers reflect, the country’s second-most receiving yards thus far belong to Harris and his dominant run through non-conference play. Harris is entering Ole Miss’ opening SEC game against Kentucky, coming off his finest performance of his career.

Against Georgia Southern it was almost as if Harris and quarterback Jaxson Dart were sharing a brain, connecting 11 times for 225 yards and two touchdowns. Harris’ 225 receiving yards set a new career-high, surpassing his 213 yards against Texas A&M in 2023.

Well, when you have the best receiver in the country, you’re going to give him as many chances as you can. I just think that we’ve (grown) such a great connection and it’s kind of clicked from the moment he got here. He’s just a hell of a player and (I’m) just grateful to have him on my side,” Dart said following Harris’ dominant performance against Georgia Southern.

Last season, Harris was the Rebels’ leading receiver as well, posting 985 yards on 54 receptions and eight touchdowns.

No. 5 Ole Miss (4-0) will host Kentucky (2-2, 0-2 SEC) this Saturday (Sept. 28) in their SEC opener of the 2024 season. Kickoff for Week 5 in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is set for 11 a.m. CT and can be seen on ABC. Fans will also be able to listen through the Ole Miss Radio Network.
