It was an epic game, one for the ages and that people will remember for a while. Alabama held on to beat Georgia in a roller coaster of emotions after the Crimson Tide jumped to an early 21-point lead that led to major drama.

The Bulldogs came back to take a lead but it was quickly disappeared by the Alabama offense. All this great cinema-style football made the people that tuned in keep their eye on television and the ones that found out about the game, started to watch.

The Southeastern Conference game averaged 6.0 ratings and 11.99 million viewers on ABC, something that made it the most-watched college football game of the season, but things could only get better.

The bar is high but it can be beat

The peak of its viewership on 14.1 million was on a 15-minute span from 11:15pm to 11:30pm. Around that time, the Bulldogs tried to come back once again in the game but the Crimson Tide was able to hold on.

To many this game might not be topped in way, but there are plenty of games that could to the trick. In two weeks, Ohio State stills have to play Oregon and Tennessee still has to play the very same Alabama team as well.

Of course the Georgia and Alabama has been alive for decades, and it added fuel to the fire the recent history of these team’s against each other but the fact that they are very good teams and even after the Bulldogs lost, they still are serious contenders to win the national championship.
