The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team was ranked in the AP Top 25 preseason poll.
The Hogs were placed No. 16 in the poll. It’s the fifth of nine Southeastern Conference teams ranked in the Top 25.
Arkansas finished with a 16-17 record last season and missed the NCAA Tournament.
However, the Razorbacks have a new head coach in John Calipari.
A three-time Naismith College Coach of the Year honoree, Calipari has compiled a 410-123 record in 15 seasons at Kentucky. He led the Wildcats to seven Elite Eights, four Final Fours, and won a National Championship in 2012.
Arkansas starts regular season play on Nov. 6 at home against Lipscomb. They’ll open conference play for the 2024-2025 season in Knoxville when they take on the Volunteers on Jan. 4.
Arkansas will host both the SEC’s new teams. The Sooners come to town Jan. 25. The Longhorns will visit just a few weeks later, on Feb. 15.
