In a major development, Paul Pogba and Juventus are officially parting ways. After a turbulent spell marked by injuries and off-the-field challenges, the French midfielder is terminating his contract with the Turin giants, signaling the end of his time at the club.
With this decision, Pogba will become a free agent and be available to join a new team in 2025. However, he can resume training as early as January and is eligible to play competitively starting in March.
Currently training in Miami, Pogba has been working hard to stay in shape, clearly focused on making a strong comeback. Sources close to him suggest he’s eager to hit the reset button and take on a new challenge to reignite his career.
Pogba’s career has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. He became a star during his first stint at Juventus (2012-2016), winning four Serie A titles and helping the team reach the 2015 Champions League final. His standout performances led to a record-breaking €105 million move to Manchester United in 2016, where he had a mixed spell before returning to Juventus in 2022.
Sadly, his second chapter in Turin didn’t go as planned. Injuries kept him sidelined for most of the 2022/2023 season, limiting him to just 10 appearances. Things took another downturn in 2023 when he faced suspension due to a doping violation, ultimately paving the way for today’s announcement.
As Pogba eyes the next step in his career, speculation is already swirling about where he might go. Could he return to the Premier League? Will he follow the growing trend of players moving to the Saudi Pro League? Or could we see him in Major League Soccer (MLS) or another up-and-coming league?
One thing is certain: Pogba’s name will attract interest from clubs around the world.
Despite the setbacks, Pogba remains a top-tier talent. Known for his strength, vision, and creativity, he’s a proven game-changer on his day. With 91 caps for France—including a key role in their 2018 World Cup triumph—he’s a player with the ability to turn games on their head. For the right team, Pogba could still be a midfield dynamo worth the gamble.
As Pogba trains daily in Miami, fans and pundits alike are eager to see where he’ll land. Will a team take a chance on the French star and help him write the next chapter of his career?
