Jalen Milroe Disappoints NFL Fans, Jaxson Dart Gets Mixed Reviews at 2025 Senior Bowl

The 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl** provided NFL scouts, analysts, and fans an early look at some of the top quarterback prospects ahead of the draft. However, while some players seized the moment, others failed to meet expectations. Two quarterbacks who generated plenty of discussion were **Alabama’s Jalen Milroe** and **Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart**—but for very different reasons.

Jalen Milroe Fails to Impress

Coming off a strong season with Alabama, Jalen Milroe entered the Senior Bowl with plenty of intrigue. His athleticism, deep-ball ability, and leadership at Alabama made him an exciting prospect. However, during the week of practice and the game itself, **Milroe struggled to showcase the refinement NFL teams were hoping to see.**

One of the biggest concerns about Milroe heading into the draft process was his **accuracy and decision-making**. Unfortunately, those concerns were on full display in Mobile. During practice sessions, he was inconsistent in drills, often sailing passes over his receivers or missing them in stride. In the actual game, his struggles continued, as he had difficulty reading coverages and adjusting to the speed of the defense.

NFL fans watching the game and practice reports were **disappointed**, especially those who had high hopes for him as a potential Day 1 or Day 2 pick. While his raw athleticism and ability to make plays with his legs are undeniable, his inability to deliver the ball accurately and process defenses quickly raised major red flags.

One scout reportedly noted, **“Milroe’s physical tools are elite, but his processing speed is still a major question mark. He’ll need a lot of work at the next level.”**

With a deep quarterback class featuring prospects like **Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and J.J. McCarthy**, Milroe’s struggles at the Senior Bowl may have hurt his stock significantly. He’ll have a chance to bounce back at the **NFL Combine** and Alabama’s **Pro Day**, but for now, he has a lot to prove.

Jaxson Dart Delivers Mixed Results

Unlike Milroe, Jaxson Darthad a much different Senior Bowl experience—one that left NFL scouts and fans somewhat divided. The Ole Miss quarterback showed flashes of brilliance** but also displayed the inconsistencies that have followed him throughout his college career.

Dart had moments where he looked like a potential NFL starter, particularly in practice sessions where he delivered tight-window throws and showed improved mechanics. His ability to read defenses and make quick decisions was one of the biggest positives from the week.

However, when the game arrived, Dart’s performance was up and down. He threw a couple of impressive passes, including a deep sideline completion that showcased his **arm strength and accuracy, but he also had some head-scratching moments, missing open receivers and struggling when under pressure.

One NFL scout was quoted as saying, **“Dart has all the tools—arm strength, mobility, and toughness—but he’s still too inconsistent to be a sure thing.

Some fans were excited about his flashes of potential, believing he could be a sleeper pick in the draft, while others were skeptical about whether he could handle the speed and complexity of an NFL offense

What’s Next for Milroe and Dart?

Both quarterbacks will now  shift their focus to the next stages of the draft process. For Milroe, the  NFL Combine will be crucial—he’ll need to prove he can throw with accuracy in a controlled environment and show improvement in areas that struggled at the Senior Bowl.

For Dart, consistency will be the key. If he can put together strong workouts and interviews, he could solidify himself as a **mid-round pick with upside

While neither player completely won over NFL fans at the Senior Bowl, there is still time for them to change the narrative before the 2025 NFL Draft The next few months will be critical for both quarterbacks as they look to prove their worth to NFL teams.
