Breaking News: Hailey Van Lith set to leave LSU Tigers and sign with Rivalry team after receiving insult from..

Taken as a whole, the basketball community — men’s and women’s — is a relatively small one. Connections and relationships are key, helping to elevate a player’s game on the court and their standing off of it, when their career ends.

Angel Reese gets this. The Chicago Sky forward is only a rookie, but she has never forgotten her roots, or the people who helped her get to the WNBA — including former LSU Tigers teammate Hailey Van Lith, who recently celebrated an enormous achievement.

The social media-savvy Reese took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate Van Lith for making the 3×3 women’s basketball team that will take part in the Summer Olympics in Paris next month. Van Lith is part of an exclusive group going to France in July, and the news came after the guard had a difficult season under Kim Mulkey at LSU.

Van Lith transferred to LSU from Louisville for the 2023/24 season, but the talented lead guard struggled to find her way in Mulkey‘s offense. Van Lith’s final game for the Tigers was the 94-87 loss to Caitlin Clark‘s Iowa Hawkeyes in the Elite Eight — where the illness-stricken Van Lith was Clark‘s primary defender, helpless to prevent her from scoring 41 points in the rematch of the 2023 national championship game.

Van Lith has since transferred to TCU for her final year of college eligibility, and her standing in college basketball remains solid — as evidenced by her selection to the 3×3 team. A return to form in 2024/25 could bring her closer to realizing a WNBA dream — and playing against, or even with, her friend Rees

Haley and Hanna Cavinder shared a very heartfelt message towards their father on Father’s Day and everyone has voiced their opinion on it by commenting to the very emotional words they made public.

On a collage of images posted on Instagram with their dad, Tom Cavinder on Father’s Day, the pictures have everyone going down memory lane and many have confessed to have watery eyes while reading the words and admiring the photographs.

“Happy Father’s Day. Grateful for everything you do for us, we love you,” was red on the Instagram story posted on Sunday. The Cavinder Twins are returning to college basketball in the upcoming season after a year off the courts.

They will be taking the court for the Miami Hurricanes, the team where they both played together for the last time. Meanwhile they are enjoying the off season for now, with scheduled training sessions on their own to get a step ahead of the rest.

Tom Cavinder has been their first leader

Their dad was born in south Bend, Indiana, the home of the Fighting Irish, however Tom Cavinder playedcollege basketball for Nova Southeastern University for two seasons, and then made a move to Arizona with his wife Katie, and then founded the Southwest Elevator company in 2023.

He owns it independently and it has been like that since becoming a national brand. Let’s not forget he is in full support of his daughters as he normally attends the twins’ games and has shown support in other areas, lie NIL opportunities.

While he does not have an active account on Instagram, he shows his support of the sister over on his Facebook page.
