It all started back 13 years ago from a comment that an SEC analyst made on Kiffin which Finebaum might have forgotten after all these years, but Kiffin had not. In 2013, Lane Kiffin was fired from his head coaching duties at USC just 5 games into the season. Recalling the exact words and what went down after it, Kiffin said, “You said what a joke I was, I’m the Miley Cyrus of college football coaching and I should be fired. They looked at each other and later that night, I was fired.”
