LATROBE, Pa. — When Madden NFL 25 releases on August 13, it will feel like an afterthought, given the recent hype from College Football 25, which returned after an 11-year drought.
Yet, the Madden franchise appeared at namely from head coach Mike Tomlin, who joked that he would pay attention to the latest iteration of the game for guidance about the new NFL kickoff rules.

Again, that is jokingly, but it does paint just how uncertain everyone is about what the new kickoff rules will bring to the table. Even for body types, the Steelers and 31 other teams will soon find out what works best.
There could be new fireworks as the NFL changes what it hopes to do with the kickoff return. They are trying to revitalize it, so under these new rules, it acts like a run play.
