Kevin Durant is basking in the glory of another Olympic gold medal for Team USA men’s basketball, his fourth.
But the Phoenix Suns star still had time to make a point to an X user in the aftermath of Team USA’s 98-87 2024 Paris Olympics gold medal game win over France.
Durant took to X (formerly Twitter) with a picture of Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant after the United States’ victory Saturday, replying to a post from another X user.
Why would Durant post a picture of Morant, who wasn’t on Team USA? The photo Durant posted of Morant was from a video of the guard telling people to “stay on that side” after a Memphis Grizzlies game.
It wasn’t Durant’s first response to that same account.
After Team USA narrowly defeated Serbia in the semifinals on Thursday, the account, @SwipaCam, posted: “Serbia just took the most talented team in the history of the planet to the wire with a medal on the line. Team USA was a 16 point favorite. The whole country should be proud.”
Durant’s response? “Where u from??”
@Swipa Cam later posted photos of him in a Team USA uniform, which prompted Durant’s “stay on that side” message.
Along with the gold medals, Durant is now the highest-scoring basketball player in Olympic history for the United States, cementing a legacy of greatness at the Summer Games for his country …
All while continuing to troll people on social media.
